I live in Byron with my husband and wonderful little boy. I've been fascinated with childbirth and newborns ever since I can remember! Working as a nutrition and breastfeeding counselor, and especially, the birth of my son has inspired me to become a doula. I'm pursuing my Birth Doula certification through DONA (Doulas of North America) and I'll be a Certified Lactation Counselor by February 2010. I can also provide postpartum doula services. I'm fluent in Spanish and enjoy working with families of all backgrounds.

My passions lie in helping families off to a healthy and happy start. Knowledge, guidance and emotional/ physical support are important in achieving the birth you desire, whether natural or medically managed. As your doula, I'll work with you to help you understand your options and teach you comfort measures and relaxation techniques to help make your birth a positive and treasured experience.

I am a stay-at-home mother of four beautiful children.  After several years in a career as an industrial engineer, I realized after the birth of my first child that my true passion was in the field of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding.  I felt drawn to be a doula because of my positive experience with a wonderful doula at the birth my first child.  The importance of her support was invaluable, and I knew I wanted to help other women in the same way.

I believe all women can benefit from continuous emotional and physical support during childbirth.  As a DONA certified birth doula, it is my goal to help you have a positive and empowering birth experience.

I am a mother of 3 daughters ages 16,13 and 6. I completed my Doula classes in March 2007. I am now completing my certification and hope to be certified by September! I was asked by 2 friends to attend their births for "assistance" and to photograph also. In the February birth, the nurse informed me about what a Doula was and asked if I had interest in becoming one...so here I am! What an honor it is to be a part of such an amazing expereince, one that not every woman can experience. As your Doula, I will not leave your side, nor your partner's. Emotionally I will support you and assist you in hopes of the most peaceful and positive birth possible.  Congratulations!

My husband, three children and I live in Plainview, MN.
Welcome to the transition into parenthood!  Whether this is your initial journey or a subsequent one, the birth of each child is a unique experience.  I believe that an expectant couple needs a circle of support surrounding them during the sacred time.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know you as a family with specific needs and desires for your labor and birth.  My desire is to empower you as you reach deep inside yourselves for strength, and carefully considered options.  I hope this intimate time will be positive and cherished for you as you meet your baby for the first time.
I feel honored in guiding and encouraging over 35 women during this special journey.  Awe and respect for childbirth are what led me to become a Certified Doula through DONA and a Certified Childbirth Educator through ICEA.

I live in Rochester with my husband, and I am a mother of a wonderful little girl. I became a certified doula through DONA in August of 2007.  I am a Lamaze-trained childbirth educator, and I offer both birth doula and postpartum doula support, as well as private childbirth classes based on the Lamaze Philosophy of Birth.

My goal is to provide doula care that informs and empowers women from all walks of life. I want to help each of my clients feel like she and her partner understand the entire birth process. I want to make sure each mother knows that I am with her to support her 100%. For this reason, I can work with mothers making a variety of choices, including epidurals and inductions. No matter what choices are made, I will help each mother through encouragement, reassurance, and physical comfort measures.

I first became fascinated with pregnancy and birth when I was pregnant with my son in 2006. Two years later, I am still passionate about childbirth, and I recently completed my DONA doula training in May 2008. My goal as a doula is to assist mothers and fathers through pregnancy and birth by providing the information and support they need to make informed decisions regarding the birth of their child. I offer encouragement, physical comfort measures and emotional support to parents with a variety of birth preferences, including natural birth, cesarean birth, and the use of pain medication during labor. I live in Rochester with my husband and son.

My name is Michele. I have been married to my husband for 10 years and we have a beautiful daughter who is 9. Recently many friends and family members were expecting, and I found myself trying to help them have the best experience with pregnancy and birth. I researched acupressure, and massage for expecting moms and found that there are so many other ways to conquer labor pains than with drugs. I was fascinated! It was then that I decided to take the DONA training to become a Doula. My mission has become to educate woman about the options and choices we can make during child birth.

I truly believe that childbirth is not a medical procedure, but a natural event that every woman has the power to achieve. Whether it be natural childbirth, medicated, home birth or Cesarean every woman can have a positive birth experience with the comfort and support of a Doula.

Birth is a very special occasion in a women’s life. I feel so honored when a woman chooses me to be her doula during the birth of her baby to provide support for both her and her partner. These birth memories are moments in our lives we will never forget and this is why I feel so honored when a woman allows me to be a part of that memory; a memory that lasts a lifetime.

I have always been passionate about birth, but since the birth of my third child at home in March of 2009 I have been even more passionate about it. It was the most amazing event of my life and I want to help women have that same feeling after their birth. I work for you and only you and because of this I am able to help guide you through the birth process in an unbiased way. I am currently a trained doula through DONA and a Certified Lactation Specialist. My husband, three kids and I live in Mantorville, MN.
